Autonomous Finance

Autonomous Finance is focused on research and development of AI-powered financial applications built on AO, the hyper parallel computer. We utilize AO’s decentralized compute environment to integrate AI onchain and generate new data-driven financial primitives to push the boundaries of what’s possible with financial applications and introduce global market intelligence onchain. 

Autonomous Finance has three foundational pillars: Core Infrastructure, Agent Finance (AgentFi), and Content Finance (ContentFi).

Core Infrastructure

Autonomous Finance is building core financial infrastructure that combines the trustless nature of DeFi with AO’s infinite scalability and data accessibility. This not only enhances traditional DeFi primitives through programmatic market making and liquidity provision services but also enables novel financial strategies and highly configurable automated workflows. 

Our core financial infrastructure will leverage onchain machine learning (ML) algorithms and Web2 data streams to improve the speed and accuracy of trade execution, optimize the routing of orders to maximize liquidity, and provide real-time liquidity protection services. The following applications will form the foundation for AO’s intelligent financial ecosystem:

AgentFi

Autonomous Finance is developing composable semi and fully autonomous agents. In contrast to other autonomous agent frameworks, which rely on offchain programs for signal processing and logic, AO enables verifiable compute and onchain data processing. This allows autonomous agents to self-learn and execute logic using onchain data streams. Imagine LLMs that operate inside smart contracts and feature verifiable data inputs and compute logs.

AO’s innovative architecture activates an agent-based economy where autonomous agents are the primary actors and fully onchain subscription-based services abstract away the complexities commonly associated with DeFi. Autonomous Finance innovates on AO’s technology to invent new financial primitives focusing on composable autonomous agents, verifiable ML, and fully automated intelligent financial markets. ContentFi

Autonomous Finance introduces ContentFi, a framework to attribute and monetize data stored on Arweave’s permaweb as composable assets for AO processes. We are building applications that allow data contributors, or content funds, to contribute data to the permaweb, such as historical and real-time market intelligence.

We envision a myriad of community-driven and institutional content funds uploading and streaming content to the permaweb as part of a liquid data market. This content will be incredibly valuable as onchain signals for autonomous agents and ML. Imagine self-learning agents that generate new markets in response to social media sentiment and historical data. Here are some examples:

Our Vision

Our vision is to build open-source, trustless financial infrastructure that maximizes AO’s unique architecture. We are innovating on traditional DeFi primitives, such as AMMs, money markets and derivatives, to incorporate data-driven signals and intelligent onchain execution. These new primitives form the foundation for the development of AgentFi and ContentFi applications within the AO ecosystem.

We believe that autonomous agents will usher in a new era of trustless finance and generate completely novel financial strategies–many of which we have yet to conceive. The journey to build a generative, intelligent financial layer has only just begun, with much still to be developed. We are determined to establish the core pillars of AO’s Autonomous Finance ecosystem and push the boundaries of AgentFi and ContentFi application development.
